How is the multiplier calculated?

For equal batter depth, divide the total area of the new pans by the total area of the original pans. A round pan uses πr²; a rectangular pan uses width × length.

Does a bigger pan mean a longer baking time?

Not necessarily. Material, shape, batter depth, recipe chemistry, and your oven all matter. This calculator does not multiply time or temperature by the recipe factor. Follow recipe-specific guidance and check doneness appropriately.

What about cups and part of an egg?

Scaling keeps your existing measure unchanged. A cup is not converted to grams, and national cup conventions are not guessed. Egg quantities stay fractional. For a partial egg, beat an egg and measure the required fraction of its actual mass rather than assuming all eggs weigh the same.

Are my recipes uploaded anywhere?

The site code calculates locally and saves only when you choose Save. There is no recipe-upload endpoint or analytics script. Your hosting provider still receives normal web requests. See the privacy explanation.
